Explore OTC hearing aid models

Hearing Fieldguide brings together OTC hearing aids from several brands so you can compare the parts of everyday use that matter to you. Start with the controls: a button on the device, a separate case or a phone app. Then look at the wearing style, charging routine and phone compatibility. Open a model page for its documented features, practical limitations and exact product reference. Recorded prices are snapshots, and some manufacturer models have no verified price here. This directory is a place to build a shortlist, not a clinical recommendation or a ranking based on hands-on tests.

Questions about OTC hearing-aid models

Who can buy OTC hearing aids?

In the US, OTC hearing aids are intended for adults age 18 and older with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. They can be bought without a prescription. If you are unsure whether this category suits your hearing, seek a professional assessment. Read the OTC starting guide and warning signs.

Do all OTC hearing aids need a smartphone?

No. Some use physical buttons or a separate control case, while others use an app. Check initial setup separately from everyday volume and program changes: a device can work without its app yet need a phone for personalization. Compare the actual control tasks.

Does Bluetooth mean I can stream calls and music?

No. Bluetooth can support settings without supporting audio streaming. Calls, music and phone compatibility should be checked for the exact model. For example, RIC700 documents iOS-only audio streaming, while other connected models have different requirements. See the connectivity checklist.

Does the largest battery number describe a single charge?

Not always. A total may combine hearing-aid runtime with recharges stored in the case. Streaming can have a separate, shorter runtime. Compare the device-only figure first and check what each larger number includes. Learn how to read the battery claims.

Can I return hearing aids after trying them?

That depends on your seller and order terms. Confirm whether opened devices qualify, when the return window begins, which fees apply and who provides support. A manufacturer’s direct-store trial does not automatically cover a retailer purchase. Use the returns checklist.
