OTC hearing aids: return policy and support checklist

A manufacturer trial, a retailer return window and a warranty are different commitments. Start with the actual seller and package.

Source-based guidance · Checked October 25, 2026

Separate three different promises

A return window sets conditions for sending back a purchase. A trial describes an opportunity to try a device, subject to its terms. A warranty addresses covered faults or service; it does not automatically let you return a device because the fit or sound is not right for you.

Do not transfer a direct-store trial to an Amazon order or another reseller. The brand name may be the same while the seller and buying conditions differ.

Why a brand-wide number can mislead

Dated examples to verify, not policy guarantees

iBstone NovaThe exact Amazon description states a 30-day trial; manufacturer copy promotes 45 days.Read the terms attached to your specific seller and order.
CeretoneCurrent Core One Pro and Beacon pages promote 100 days; the collected NCOA review describes 60-day terms.Check the current product and channel. Do not assume every Ceretone model has the same trial.
Yeasound RIC800Manufacturer and reseller pages describe different trial periods.Confirm who handles your return and which date starts the window.

Keep a pre-purchase record

Save the relevant terms and your order confirmation. This checklist helps organize questions; it does not establish legal rights or guarantee a refund.

Check support before you need it

Ask how to get model-specific help with insertion, controls, charging and phone setup. Confirm hours, contact method, whether assistance is included and how replacements or repairs are handled. A service offered through the manufacturer’s own store may not be included with every retail purchase.

Keep the deadline visible during a trial

Use your actual order deadline while you evaluate everyday tasks and contact support. Do not assume that waiting longer to adjust extends the return window. If a device is painful or you experience a concerning change in hearing, seek appropriate professional help rather than treating it as something you must endure to finish a trial.
