Three questions a Bluetooth label cannot answer
Can an app change settings? This is control connectivity. Can the hearing aids play calls or music? This is audio streaming. What does your phone support? That depends on the exact device, operating system, app and supported functions.
A “Bluetooth 5.3” or “5.4” label does not guarantee all three. Likewise, an app hearing test does not mean the aids can play phone audio.
Compare what is actually documented
On a small screen, move across the table to read every column.
| Model | App or settings | Calls / music | Limit to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ceretone Beacon | App hearing personalization | Explicitly described by manufacturer | Exact phone, current app and TV/accessory requirements |
| ELEHEAR Beyond Pro | Companion app | Explicitly described by manufacturer | Exact version and current phone support |
| Yeasound RIC800 | Companion app and device controls | Exact listing describes both | Hearing and streaming have different battery figures |
| Techmi Match / FacePro | App guidance documented | Not sufficiently confirmed in captured information | Do not infer streaming from the Bluetooth version |
| MDHearing connected models | VOLT MAX 2nd gen / NEO XS PRO documented | Older support says connection is for settings, not music/TV | Check the current exact-model manual; this support article is dated |
| Audien Atom X | Case controls | Version mapping unresolved | Current manufacturer page contains non-Bluetooth and Connect variants |
Make your phone check specific
Write down your phone model and operating-system version. Ask which app is required, whether both ears receive audio, how calls use microphones, and whether the functions you want are supported on that exact phone. An iOS or Android badge alone is not a guarantee for every handset.
We have not paired these models with phones. Connection stability, call quality, delay and battery drain are not rated here.
Treat television and broadcast claims separately
A television picture on a product page does not establish a direct connection to your TV. Ask whether the device needs a transmitter or other accessory and which connection is supported. Auracast also requires compatible broadcasts and receiving equipment; it does not mean all public venues or televisions work automatically.
Before and after you buy
- Before ordering: confirm your exact phone, desired function, required accessories and return terms.
- At setup: use the instructions for the exact model and generation.
- If a connection fails: record the phone, app version and error, then contact support. Avoid changing settings based on another model’s tutorial.
- If you only want everyday hearing assistance: check whether the device works without the phone nearby.
