This notice describes the current local preview, updated October 27, 2026. It is not confirmation of the data practices of a future public hosting service. The production privacy notice must be reviewed against the actual hosting, analytics and email arrangements before launch.
Pages and hosting
This build has no visitor accounts, on-site checkout or form that submits hearing information. The local preview server can log page requests. The privacy practices and retention of a future public host have not been finalized.
Your text-size preference
If you choose larger text, this preview stores only that display preference in browser local storage so it can be used on later pages and visits. The setting does not describe your age or hearing. You can switch back with Use standard text or clear this site’s browser storage. If browser storage is unavailable, the text change applies only to the current page.
Your comparison choices
The comparison tool can keep up to three selected product identifiers in browser session storage. This supports navigation within the tab. It stores product choices rather than a hearing assessment. Use Clear in the comparison tray to remove the stored selection; if storage is unavailable, the tool keeps choices only in the current page.
Trial journal and battery tool
The trial journal is filled out in the page and does not submit or persist your entries through this site. Downloading creates a file on your device; printing sends the page through your own printing system. Protect any personal notes in those outputs. The daily-hours battery control does not store your selection.
Analytics and purchase links
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity identifiers have been configured for a future public release, but their tracking scripts are not loaded and no analytics events are sent by this preview. A Google Search Console verification meta tag is present on the homepage; that tag does not itself send analytics events. Before public launch, this notice must describe the actual analytics configuration, cookies, session recording and privacy controls. Following a purchase link takes you to another organization’s site, where its own privacy and tracking practices apply. Commercial links may support affiliate attribution.
Email and questions
Clicking the contact email opens your email application. Any message you choose to send is handled by the email systems involved. Do not include sensitive health or payment information. Contact contact@hearingfieldguide.com with privacy questions.
The US-based operator uses the site name Hearing Fieldguide. Final public-host retention, service providers and any applicable privacy-request process remain launch-review items; this preview does not claim those arrangements are already verified.
